SHADES OF GREY

It's November and everything is grey and gloomy - mist, fog, cloud and rain. Summer now seems a long way off, and Spring seems even further. This dress needs no explanation - the fog that enshrouds the future of my favourite football club is the true inspiration here. Recycled team shirts. crafted into a haute couture bodice, and red roses entwined in barbed wire emphasize my frsutartion!

Shades of Grey is a unique, one-off design for exhibition purposes. It is a recycled wedding dress, created from two Newcastle United team shirts. It cannot be sold, but it demonstrates how something useful can be made from last seasons football shirts - for the 'lady' of the house! The bodice can be separated from the skirt and can be worn for a night out with jeans or a skirt. Please do not hestitate to contact me if you would like something new created from old garments.
